Thanksgiving Break Session – Kids Sewing Camp for a Cause
Friday November 27th, 2015
Boys & Girls from 2nd Grade – 8th Grade
In this extra special sewing camp, students will learn how sew Stuffed Teddy Bears that will be donated to local children in the CASA Program of New Jersey.
Students enrolled in the class will learn how to read the basic teddy bear pattern and instructions, how to use the sewing machine, as well as other sewing & design tools and skills.
Each 1/2 day session is three hours (with time for a snack). You can sign up for 1/2 day, full day, after care & before care. For full day students, we break for 1 hour of supervised group BYO lunch from 12-1pm.
About CASA:
CASA of New Jersey, Inc. is part of a national network of non-profit programs that advocate for children removed from their families because of abuse or neglect. CASA of NJ promotes and supports a statewide network of local CASA programs (Affiliates) statewide.
CASA Affiliates recruit and train community volunteers to be a “voice in court” for children removed from their homes due to abuse and/or neglect. These advocates “speak up” for these children, helping them get the services they need and ensuring that they find safe, permanent homes. CASA programs operate in all 21 counties in New Jersey and more than 1,800 CASA volunteers served over 3,000 children last year.

- Due to the seasonal nature of kids class programming and the set limitation of spaces offered, no refund shall be provided for absences, changes, withdrawals, or dismissal for cause.
-Upon sign up, permission is hereby granted for photographs to be taken of the student and M Avery Designs has the right to utilize these photographs in promotional brochures or on website and display material.
